Tracy Bame was appointed to the Advisory Board of National Bank of Arizona in October 2013. In this role, she participates in the governing of NB|AZ® , establishing policies and corporate objectives to ensure the success of the organization. Tracy is President of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Foundation and Director of Social Responsibility & Community Development of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, Inc. – Americas Division. She is responsible for leading the company’s social responsibility and compliance programs in the Americas, including the company’s operating portfolio in the U.S., Chile and Peru. She also serves as a member of the Environment Services and Sustainable Development leadership team, which provides strategic direction for the company’s global sustainability objectives.
Community Involvement
Tracy currently serves on the Arizona State University Morrison Institute Arizona Directions Advisory Committee, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation Board of Directors, Science Foundation Arizona’s STEM Network Advisory Board, Expect More Arizona Board of Directors, O’Connor House Board of Directors, The BUILD AZ Early Childhood Education Initiative Advisory Council, and the Youth Council of the Valley of the Sun United Way. She participates in the Clinton Global Initiative of which Freeport programs have been recognized publicly as best practice models. She has also been part of the U.S. Department of State delegations to Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation convenings on women and the economy, and the Equal Futures Partnership meetings representing Freeport/private sector commitments to women’s equal political and economic participation. She has been instrumental in securing a spot for Freeport-McMoRan in the “Civic 50” – a list of America’s most community-minded companies. Tracy was also named a finalist in the private sector category for the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, which recognizes women leaders in the state.
