Since our beginnings in 1984, our mission has been to build local relationships within our communities and deliver exceptional customer service. Take, for example, the story of Wes Neal and Kyle George, owners of Bright Angel Bicycles in Flagstaff, who we helped secure a 10-year contract with the National Park Service and grow from a small mom-and-pop bike rental company with a staff of 5 to Grand Canyon National Park’s first in-park bike rental facility.
“We had meetings with three other banks because we wanted to make sure we found the right fit,” Neal said. Unfortunately, those first meetings didn’t get them any closer to realizing their dream – until they spoke with NB|AZ.
“National Bank of Arizona was the only one who really took us seriously,” Neal said. “The team at the Flagstaff branch were right there with us and the rest is history.”
Giving Back and Helping Others Do the Same
It isn’t just our company that is committed to helping our communities – it’s all of our associates who work in those branches. Last year alone, NB|AZ employees gave back over 10,000 hours of their personal time to their communities through volunteering at 225 nonprofits across the state.

This has allowed us to work with local nonprofits like A 2nd Act, an organization dedicated to giving cancer survivors a place to tell their story, or HustlePHX, a nonprofit focused on counseling and promoting entrepreneurs who may be outside the mainstream lines of support.
