Lisa Urias was appointed to the Advisory Board of National Bank of Arizona in February 2017. In this role, she participates in the governing of NB|AZ® , establishing policies and corporate objectives to ensure the success of the organization. Lisa is President & CEO of Urias Communications and Managing Partner of CoNecs North America. After 12 years of running Urias Communications, Lisa recently combined forces with Molera Alvarez Government Affairs to form CoNecs North America. The agency now provides seamless brand strategy and management, PR services and government affairs for clients throughout the U.S. and in Mexico. Collectively, Lisa’s firms represent various national and statewide clients including Barrow Neurological Institute, Dignity Health, APS, Mercy Care Plan, SunChase Developers, the Phoenix Zoo and others. 

 

Community Involvement

Lisa currently serves on various boards including Greater Phoenix Leadership, the ASU Morrison Institute, Vitalyst Health Foundation, and Arizona Community Foundation and is an appointed member of the Arizona Justice Commission led by Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Scott Bales. She has been featured on CNN and in other national media. She’s received numerous awards for her business acumen including: (2016) Arizona Business Magazine, “Most Influential Women” award; (2014) Arizona’s Business Magazine, Arizona’s “Most Influential Minority Business Leaders”; (2013) the Arizona Republic's one of “13 to Watch in 2013”; (2012) Phoenix Business Journal, “Most Admired CEOs” award; and (2012) the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year award.
